Khalil developed a passion for events from her early years & she dedicated her career to this industry working on both sides, both the client & the agency sides, when finally she decided to open her own event management consultancy.
Khalil’s first event focused job was as an Event Planner in the Egyptian Stock Exchange in May 2004, among her key achievements there was organizing the 100-year anniversary of the Egyptian Stock Exchange. She then moved to Promoters Egypt, where she worked on a variety of event scopes ranging from concerts, corporate events to Expos for example Egypt’s Air Show AVEX.
Moving back to the client side, Khalil joined EFG Hermes as a Regional Events Manager, where she held a diversified portfolio of events, such as The ONE-ON-ONE Conference, Sharm El Skhiekh, a 5-day conference with 650 key Global & Local Investors, ACCESS 09, Dubai. EGYPT CAPITAL DAY, LONDON.
Among Khalil’s main achievements is holding the Official Gala Dinner of Economic Development Conference, Sharm El Shiekh 14, where she created a venue from scratch for this event in order to ensure the right experience.
In December 2014 Khalil established The Worx for Events a woman led company with her business partner Mai Salama. The extraordinary ladies are completely redefining the marketing, advertising and events landscape in that region and they are building everything hand in hand, defying the perceptions about the cultural and gender limitations.
In just 5 years the powerful duo have managed to take the market by storm, with the platforms they created, built and introduced to the market, such as:
They are a true testament of women joining forces to lift gender barriers and shine hope on our industry.
Khalil & her business partner Salama are a true example of partnership and mentorship. Khalil specializes in logistics, planning and structure while Salama specializes in communication, conceptualization and marketing, together they build extraordinary experiences. They are also the true example of mentorship where they believe in nurturing young talent. At any given month there are always interns working closely with the team in order to learn more about the real world and get them ready for their futures.
All the above falls in line with the vision of growing and evolving the event industry Egypt as well as in putting Egypt back on the map of Event Destinations.
